Family Tree: Treecko Tribe

Put this here for now, I'll add a description in a bit!

But here's Cynquafoil's family tree.

Note: In this particular jungle... Treecko, Grovyle, and Sceptile names are very important. They usually are from a plants or something else nature based. When they become close to one another... they will tell their new friend what their name means (IE: Cynquafoil means Beloved Daughter and is a kind of plant) which is turn her title is Cynquafoil the Beloved Daughter.



Platanus The Genius: Grandpa on Mother's side.

Platanus was based on Professor Membrane from Invader Zim. Unlisted here is his other son (Iifa's brother) who met an Elgyem before and screams about aliens all the time. Platanus is one of the only tribe members that ever explored OUTSIDE the jungle.

His mate is unknown.


Menyanthes the Repose: Grandpa on Father's side.

Menyanthes (Nicknamed Mini by Fern since she can't pronounce it XD) is a really large and quiet sceptile. He used to run from Fern anytime she tried to talk to him, this being from when he was a treecko up to being a sceptile. Because of this Fern thought no one liked her and that everyone ran from her... learning later that all those treeckos, grovyles, and sceptiles were just the same one, just shy of her. Meny saved Fern when he found her in a field of her favorite flowers, poppies. She was laughing for hours high as a kite and was dizzy from exhaustion. Though he became thrown into a fit of laughter too saving her... he eventually was able to get her back home.


Fern the Sincere:Grandma on Father's side.

Fern is very sweet and very talkative. She can be quite loud and annoying even, but she's good natured and very helpful. When Zephyranthus was born she learned it was much too hard to have kids having tried and tried so she treasured what she had. Zephyranthus was never spoiled... but showed so much love that he learned to be very gentle and careful.


Iifa the Great Tree: Cynquafoil's Mother

Iifa's name comes from the Iifa Tree from FFIX, it was just fitting. Anyway... she's about 270 years old (reptiles can live a long time, and crocodiles have unknown lifespans). Iifa had a romance long ago with a Typhlosion that has been used as a Romeo and Juliet story for their tribe ever since. Being a mammal the Typhlosion died very early and Iifa hadn't taken a mate since. Most treecko's believe Iifa was named after the romance... not that she WAS the actual Iifa in the story. She hates the story however... finding it romantisized out of reality. Her and Zephyranthus's romance is just as well known, her gigantic stature compared to his smaller one is a funny comparison... especially as she protects him and bosses him around. Zephyranthus doesn't seem to mind... not unlike her late Typhlosion who too bowed to all her whims.

Long ago a light visited Iifa and told her to become the guardian of the Grass Cornet. The light was sweet and gentle... but she can't recall what it was that gave her the cornet inside. She uses the Grass Cornet to command the grass types in her jungle, she also uses it to calm the hearts of those in surrouding territories, creating treaties and even alliances.


Zephyranthus the Fond Caresser: Cynquafoil's Father

Zephyranthus is the one who named Cynquafoil, she was the runt of his last litter (he fathered 57 treeckos with Iifa over time). He always tended to all the more feminine duties in the relationship, feeding, bathing, and even hatching many of the eggs himself. After Iifa grew very sick... he sent his adult children out to find the mysterious Gabite that lived in the mountains nearby the jungle, a gabite scale could heal most all illnesses. What he didn't know was that his beloved and youngest daughter also wanted to help and ran off. Surprisingly Cynqua brought back a gabite scale and healed his mate... though Iifa later died of old age, but atleast she was happy and left peacefully. Zephyranthus was only 17 when he met Iifa, becoming a father very young, but he never regretted a thing.


Cynquafoil the Beloved Daughter:

Cynquafoil defeated a Gabite long ago, or so she recalls. At the age of 3 weeks she took off to help find a scale for her ailing mother and came back unscathed. She remembers the gabite vowed vengeance and while her father knows the truth of her story... she herself forgot key parts of the story and has grown into a young woman ready to fight at any time. She trains her mind and body constantly... knowing that as her mother's daughter she must protect herself and her tribe with all she has.

Cynqua is very friendly and helpful but luckily isn't very naive because of it. She wants nothing more than to be a tribal leader worthy of her place... and of the Grass Cornet her mother left her. The Cornet was stolen however while her mother was being laid to rest... so she vows to find it and bring it back.
